SingTel Optus Australia, a wholly owned subsidiary of SingTel, Asia’s leading Communications Group, has selected Nextgen’s financial clearing, data clearing and IOTRON platforms for roaming clearing services and discount agreement management.

Given the changes in the way roaming is now managed and the increasing complexity driven by IOT discounting, it was an opportune time to review roaming operations and reporting requirements. After a formal tender process, Optus selected Nextgen Clearing, with their suite of practical tools and customer-orientated approach.

Cathy Yu, Commercial Manager, International | Marketing Commercial, said: “Nextgen’s clearing platforms provide our Billing Team with a number of unique and value added features/processes, which facilitate seeing our Data Clearing, IOT discounts and our standard monthly clearing together in one single location!  Having the complete financial picture will have a really positive impact on our levels of efficiency, accuracy, reporting and collections.  This in tandem with the great levels of customer service Nextgen provide, makes for a very happy partnership.”

Kirit Ruparelia, Chairman & CEO of Nextgen Clearing, said: “We are delighted to have one of the region’s most respected operators select our service. This will be a good platform for us in the region and will hopefully provide other operators with confidence in the GSMA migration process to deliver real business benefits that address the complexity of the roaming market today.”
